John Ledoux was born and raised in Cove, OR. and began his rebellion at the tender age of 12. At 13, I wound up in the Umatilla County Boys Ranch and graduated to a juvinille reformitory called Maclaren School for Boys located in Woodburn, OR.
By my 14th birthday I dropped out of school, and by the age of 16 got my GED. Shortly after my 3rd release from Maclaren at 17 I was in trouble again and had to join the army or go to prizon. My rebellion was not over. Due to my problem with authority, once again failure instead of success!
In and out of jail and prison along with drug treatment centers for thirty years still could not break the spirit of rebellion that I had grown to nurture and love.
I ran from Oregon in 2006, to escape the wreckage of a 13 year marriage that I had destroyed with my rage and addiction, I continued in my rebellion in the comunity of McCall, ID.
On November 20th, 2009 I WOKE UP! God has bestoed upon me many gifts, and I’ve squandered them all, and had not used them to His glory . This has held me down for thirty painful years.
Today I have chosen to use my life experiences and failures to help other “at risk” individuals NOT to go there and waste thier lives as I did.
Rising Rebels will be an orginization that is both in the buisness of living an abundant life, while changing the world we live in, one broken life at a time, while having fun along the way.
Art it seems, is one of the many gifts I have recieved and tossed to the wind for many years.
Today, I am a lover of life and the beauty of creation. I started burning portriats of pets but quickly found hope in Gods word. (PHIL. 4:13) Clearly states that I can do ALL things though Christ who strengthens me.
I sat down and said a prayer I then picked up my burner and the picture of my dog Captain and I began to pour though my hand onto the wood. This is the first human I have ever attempted to draw. I am confident that IN HIS SERVICE there is nothing I cannot burn to wood from a picture.
